Vietnam National Tourism Year 2012

Series of activities will be held through the year for promoting destinations of the national tourism, attracting foreign tourists and improving domestic tourism.

The organization purpose of the National Tourism Year 2012 of North Central Coast Region in Hue is to confirm the strength of Vietnam Tourism, especially heritage tourism in North Central Coast Region where there are various world cultural heritage sites, national relics and interesting festivals. This factor can be recognized as highly valuable tourism resources for the formation and development of distinctive tourism products, contributing to the growth in number of tourists, so that the country will be able to attract 7-8 million foreign tourists in 2015.

Time of organization:

Activities will be organized in different periods in 2012, with focus on January and February, April (new year festivals, Hue Festival 2012), June and July (summer vacation) and year-end months (the end of the National Tourism Year 2012).

Locations of organization:

Activities will be held in the locality of Thua Thien Hue Province and related cities/ provinces, including Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Quang Nam…
